- According to the National Horticulture Board of India :- Bihar is India’s largest producer of Mushrooms. In 2021-22, Bihar produced more than 28,000 metric tons of mushrooms, which was 10.82 % of the country’s total production.
- India is the second largest producer of Litchi in the world. Litchi is a popular fruit crop of India and contributes about 93,400 ha with annual production of 600000 MT. While, Bihar is the leading state in India for Litchi production. In the financial year 2022-23, Bihar produced 309,000 tonnes of Litchi.
- India is the second – largest wheat producer, India has produced 12.5 % of the world’s wheat over the last two decades. Where, Bihar is one of the top wheat-producing states in India, In 2022, Bihar produces over six millions metric tons of wheat.
- India is the 25th largest producer of watermelon in the world, producing around 427,105 tonnes of watermelons annually. Where In 2024, Bihar’s watermelon production was reported to be 43.602 tons.
